Using 1950's restored wooden crabbing boats by Henry Chamberlain (Coastal Exploration Company), join us as we access the lesser known quieter areas of the Norfolk coast via red canvas sail and on foot. Leaving our coastal harbour we’ll explore the gentle tidal channels of the marsh while we prepare and cook breakfast and coffee aboard the boats. Once our drop-off location is finally reached we deploy from sea to land, walking at low tide where we’ll either spend the day traversing Blakeney Point dunes or the Norfolk Coastal Path. Using our OS maps we’ll navigate into a secret and private wild camp location deep in the countryside. To catch the morning tides, the route will have to be done in reverse, catching the early dawn light and using a similar route to the day before. Timing is key as we’ll have to rendevouz with the boat and skipper deep in Stiffkey Marshes. From there we’ll use the tide to sail back to Wells on Sea while enjoying another cooked breakfast, fresh artisan coffee and foraged sea vegetables.
