2 Day Wild Camping - Cotswolds - 18 miles (29km)
Join us on this two day Cotswolds Autumn Wild Camp with former Royal Marine Commando, Expedition Leader and photographer Ian Finch.
The first days walk will take in the high views over the Severn Estuary while hand railing Norman forts and time worn Cotswolds valleys. The day will conclude with tents being pitched in a secret location on a lone hill while bubbling stoves heat water for our evening camp food. This will all take place on the apex of a secluded "hidden hill" over looking valley life below. During the weekend we'll discuss subjects like natural navigation, reading & understanding a map and its signs, planning solo/joint trips, weather patterns, camp craft and how to read the landscape.
Day two starts with tea or coffee around the tents followed by a walk up onto the high ground then into the valley town for a short rest, cafe breakfast and hot drinks. We then head up into the forested hilltops to follow long ascending and descending woodland trails, walking through thick forested tree lines and densely packed natural areas. The long loop finishes as we cross beautiful lowland fields returning back to our secluded village.
